On November 17, representatives from the Finnish sawmill industry and technology sector will gather in Espoo, Finland, for the Sawmill Industry Future Forum (Sahateollisuuden tulevaisuusfoorumi). ForestX will participate in the event alongside, among others, Pfeifer and SAP.
The forum will focus on the future of the sawmill industry and how digitalization, data and new technologies can contribute to more efficient production and better decision-making.
Pfeifer to share insights on digital transformation
One of the programme highlights will be Stefan Hammerl, Head of Group IT at Pfeifer, who will share insights and experiences from Pfeifer’s digital development and transformation.
Pfeifer is a long-standing ForestX customer, and the partnership includes Optinex, ForestX’s solution for planning and optimization in the sawmill and wood products industry. Pfeifer’s experience demonstrates how digital tools can be integrated into operations and used to further develop planning and production.

Carl Barck, CEO of ForestX, will also take part in the programme, speaking about efficiency in production planning and optimization.
